The Library's Up for Auction!
Terri Knight and a night at the library are among the auction items in the B-W Foundation's "Fan-Demonium" fundraiser. Mrs. Knight will host a pizza/slumber party for a lucky group of up to 10 children in the library. There'll be games and a movie, stories and treats. Bid-Up! The sports-themed auction will be held at the La Mesa Community Center on March 8, 2008. See the BW Foundation's webpage for more information.

Buns Bunny Travels to BW Friday, Feb.29th
David Love's Buns Travels Across America teaches geography through photos and text. Touring the country with the rabbit, readers learn about famous American landmarks. Our RIF Book Distribution Is Endangered

President Bush's proposed budget eliminates funding for the Reading Is Fundamental book distribution program that has served the nation's schoolchildren continuously since 1975.
Please see RIF's statement and consider sending an urgent email to your member of Congress asking for the restoration of this historic and vital program.
Tell us about a book you love!
Share your love of books and help decorate the library! We have special forms at the library for you to recommend a great book to your classmates. Just fill in a heart with a review of your favorite book, cut out the shape, and bring it to the library. We'll be decorating throughout the month.
