Water in the Library!

raindrop

This month, the San Diego County Water Authority's traveling library visits to teach about the important role water conservation plays in our semi-arid environment. Interactive panels teach about water-saving versus water-wasting home activities, plus how we can help preserve our watershed and fresh water supplies. A collection of 100 titles supplements the display. Our third grade classes will have presentations regarding San Diego's climate. For more information, follow the links at www.SDCWA.org, the Water Authority's website.

Mrs. Knight will host a pizza/slumber party for a lucky group of up to 10 children in the library. There'll be games and a movie, stories and treats. Bid-Up! The sports-themed auction will be held at the La Mesa Community Center on March 8, 2008. See the B-W Foundation's webpage for more information.
